Central Pizza Opens Its Doors

Central Pizza, despite all the snow, successfully opened in Cheltenham’s main High Street just before Christmas. Its rustic Italian feel, combined with the authentic styled pizza, make it the perfect place to grab your lunch or afternoon snack. Good to eat on the go and equally as good to take home. Open daily, so any time can be lunchtime! Situated conveniently opposite Iceland and unlike any other, Central Pizza offers an alternative to the traditional sandwich.

The menu offers a variety of pizzas from the original cheese and tomato to an exciting mix of spicy beef with jalapeños. The sizes vary depending on your appetite from a single Slice to a whole Italian Slab. A generous amount of toppings cover the freshly made dough bases to create a truly unique taste. Since opening, and on request from customers, New to the menu is a BBQ base which adds to the popular Calzone which comes in 4 different flavours: these are a Meat Calzone which includes spicy beef, pepperoni, onions, cheese and tomato; BBQ Chicken Calzone with spicy beef, peppers, onions and cheese; Chargrilled Veg with cheese and a Goats cheese with green pesto, onions and mushrooms Calzone. You can also add to your order some Dough Balls with Garlic Butter and Garlic Bread is available with or without cheese. All guaranteed to satisfy your appetite as well as your taste buds.

Hot and Cold drinks are also on the Menu so depending on your preference, the choice is yours. There is a wide range of freshly ground coffee ranging from an Americano to a Peppermint Mocha. There is also a variety of cold drinks with the Italian San Pellegrino a must.

Central Pizza has been created by Jai Montgomery, who is also the co-founder of popular cocktail bar Coco Lush, found on Regent Street, Cheltenham. Since moving on from Coco Lush last summer, and following a visit to a pizzeria while abroad last year, Jai was inspired to bring a piece of Italy to Cheltenham.

With the Cheltenham Festival fast approaching and the nights getting lighter Central Pizza will be staying open into the evening and is soon to be introducing a delivery service. There is an ever changing menu so look out for the Spring/Summer specials coming soon.
