Beechwood Shopping Centre

With the Spring Bank Holiday break behind us we can now look forward to a great summer ahead and Beechwood Shopping Centre is blooming with great ideas for your holidays. The latest summer clothing, beachwear, accessories, sun protection, luggage and much more can be found throughout the centre so be sure to shop early to get the pick of what’s in store.

But there’s lots going on in Beechwood before you start thinking about packing that suitcase.

Debenhams will be holding a Gala Evening on June 9 from 6pm – 9pm in aid of Child Victims of Crime in association with Gloucester Constabulary.

There will be a fashion show from 6.45pm, goody bags, make-overs, spot prizes, a raffle and free gifts. The ticket price is £5 but this is redeemable against the first purchase.

The same evening, Darren and Catherine Jeal, who run fashion shop Love It on the balcony level, will be hosting a VIP night.

Dads will be the focus of attention leading up to Father’s Day on June 19 and Beechwood has a great competition for children lined up so keep a lookout for more details in our stores.

Shops such as Game On, Rise, Animal, Next and Debenhams have gifts galore to suit all pockets, so whether it’s a pair of socks, a tie, wallet, the latest music release or video game that’s on your shopping list for Dad, visit them now for these and other present ideas. Don’t forget, Authorised Apple reseller Western Computer has moved down to the ground floor, so for anything from an iPhone cover to an iMac, their new-look, bigger shop is the place to visit.

The Cheltenham store became the first Apple Premium Reseller in the UK in 2005 and it now also has other stores in Bristol and Swindon. They offer all the Apple product range and there are now more products on display and customers can test drive them in store and get hands-on experience.

For music lovers, independent record store Rise holds a number of events in its Beechwood shop and on Father’s Day, Loftbeat, a four-piece rock and roll band, will perform in a free session between 2.30pm – 3pm.

For details of other Rise events see their website:

The latest arrival in Beechwood has top discounts of up to 50 percent off branded outdoor clothing.

Landmark, located opposite Animal, sells brands including North Face, Hackett, Berghaus, Schneiders, Seasalt and Jackpot.

Beechwood’s centre manager Owen Acland is keeping his fingers crossed for the centre’s security, cleaning and maintenance team who have been nominated for a customer services accolade in the upcoming Sceptre Awards.

The awards, run by Shopping Centre magazine, recognise best practice and the best people in the shopping centre industry across the UK.

Led by facilities manager Richard Wright, the team of 16 is hoping to come away from The Dorchester in London on June 21 with the Customer Service Team of the Year Award. Richard and his team are employed by the Westgrove Group on behalf of Beechwood.

Owen paid tribute to them for their hard work in keeping the shopping centre spick and span and for their helpful approach to customers on the mall. He said: “They deserve to win for all their loyalty and hard work throughout the year and although they will be up against strong opposition, they stand a very good chance.”

Beechwood is open seven days a week. Undercover parking is available for 400 cars and if you’re visiting for the first time and need a little help finding us, the Sat Nav postcode to enter is GL52 2RG.
