Charlton Kings Salon Restoration Must Be Scen To Be Believed crack

A cutting-edge, stylish hair destination is set to be unveiled in Charlton Kings as work begins on transforming a dated hairdresser’s into Scene - The Salon, a relaxing, sophisticated alternative to the bustling town salons.

Formerly called Panache, the London Road salon has been bought by investors and is being refurbished to provide the quality of a Montpellier salon but in the relaxed village location.

The salon has remained open while the ground floor has been transformed over the past two months, with extension work to the first floor of the building beginning in April and expected to be completed in early June.

Scene – The Salon will retain staff from Panache while owners are bringing on board two new creative directors – Veronica Slatter from Mondo in Montpellier and Philip Lester from Lawrence John in Cheltenham’s Promenade who will implement an exciting in-house Wella staff training programme.

Julie Morris, Creative Director at Scene - The Salon, said: “This is a really exciting time for everyone at Scene. We are delighted with the results of the refurbishment so far and are confident that clients, new and old, will appreciate all of the effort we’ve gone to to provide a modern and relaxed salon for them to be pampered in without having to go all the way into Cheltenham.”

Top tips for Summer Hair by Scene - The Salon.

It’s a well known fact that May represents the end of the spring and the start of summer - with temperatures hopefully on the rise in the UK, thousands of us are counting down to our beach breaks and summer getaways.

While our bodies and minds get to relax and unwind, our hair is not so lucky – in fact, it often returns in considerably worse condition than it left.

The Scene team have put together a ‘How To’ list to help keep your locks looking and feeling good.

How to deal with summer dryness:
Just like your skin, your hair needs to be moisturised, particularly during a period of heightened sun exposure. If you’re planning on hitting the beach, it’s a good idea to apply an oil-based product over the top of a leave-in conditioner, this will help to seal in the products and protect your hair from the sea salt or chlorine and the sun’s harmful rays which cause the most damage.

How to control curls during the summer:
Leave-in conditioner is key to maintaining the moisture levels in your sun-scorched hair. There’s a wide selection of these designed to suit all hair types.

How to avoid burning your scalp:
The best advice is to cover up, the shops are filled with a fabulous array of hats, and scarves which are
perfect for the beach – but failing that, get a good UV protection mist to protect your hair and its colour and tie your hair in a pony tail so you don’t have a parting or your scalp on show.
