A Unique Shopping Destination crack

It’s been a busy summer at Beechwood!We’ve had some great activities for children to helpMums and Dads keep youngsters occupied during the school holidays.

Circus skills and educational displays by Tropical Inc, of meerkats, insects, spiders and other exotic animals left shoppers spellbound.Whilst those who fancied their chances of staying in the saddle on a bucking bronco, surfing the waves or trying their luck on simulators to win £50 in shopping vouchers. There was also face painting, craft workshops and fun competitions.

This summer the centre has become the stable for one of the horse sculptures put up around the town to celebrate Cheltenham’s links with racing and mark the National Hunt Festival’s 100th anniversary. It’s one of 10 statues forming a trail fromMontpellier through the town centre to Cheltenham Racecourse. Beechwood agreed to provide a safe haven for the horse after it was vandalised in its original location at Long Gardens.

If you think you could be the next Face of The Cheltonian then come along to one of the photo-shoots we are hosting. The next shoot will take place on September 24th between 2pm and 5pm. If you can’t make that one don’t worry, there will another one at the same time on October 15th.

Next month, there’s Debenhams wedding event on, October 1st between 10am and 4pm and October 2nd between 11am and 3pm. Join the wedding experts and get advice from exhibitors in photography, flowers, car hire, music, wedding cakes and more.

It’s going to be busy during that weekend as Gloucestershire firefighters have chosen the centre as the venue for a mammoth ladder climb to reach the top of Mount Kilimanjaro, also on October 1st between 11am and 4pm. Firefighters will take it in turns to go up a ladder from the ground floor to the balcony level and descend to the ground floor...again and again throughout the day, scaling a height equivalent to the summit at 19,341 feet, to raise money for the Fire Fighters Charity.

As the autumn term starts, shops in Beechwood are stocking new seasonal fashions and homewares so look out for the latest offers. There are over 30 shops to browse and Cafe la Scala or Fresh Crust can supply the refreshments between shopping sprees. Beechwoods car park is ideal for a shopping trip or visit to the town and you can get your car cleaned while you shop using the valet service on level 2a.

The centre is also about to relaunch its website with a new look which will be more informative and easy to use where you can find out more about our fantastic range of high street branded and independent stores.

And don’t forget, Beechwood shopping centre will come alive with local talent as it hosts the auditions and finals of Cheltenham’s Got Talent during November and December. There’s lots to look forward to so come and visit soon.
