Steve MacLean

Yeovil danger man also links up with the Robins...

Yeovil Town striker Steve MacLean became the second loan signing to join Cheltenham Town in March.

The Scottish striker followed Notts County striker Ben Burgess through the door by signing a loan deal which will see him through until the end of the season at the Abbey Business Stadium.

Steve, 29, started his career at Glasgow Rangers. Two years at Ibrox produced just four first team appearances though he was prolific in a loan spell with Scunthorpe United, hitting 25 goals in 52 games.

This form earned him a £125,000 move in 2004 to Sheffield Wednesday where he scored another 35 goals in 90 games despite breaking his leg and missing much of the 2005/06 season.

He left to join Cardiff City then spent three years at Plymouth Argyle though he was also loaned to Aberdeen and Oxford United. He signed for Yeovil Town in the summer and has made 23 appearances since that point scoring three league goals.

Steve has been handed squad number 30 and also made his debut for Cheltenham against Oxford United.
