Hullabaloo Festival 2012

The Hullabaloo Festival 2012 is an affordable, 3 day, family friendly, Music and Arts Festival to be held on Saturday 25th, Sunday 26th and Monday 27th of August on the Bank Holiday Weekend 2012. The site is located in picturesque countryside on Burley Fields Lake in Leckhampton, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, GL51 4XT.

A celebration of Gloucestershire, its landscape, its art, its music, its food and drink, its culture (both contemporary and traditional) and of course, its people. There will be 100's of attractions, including a Main Stage that will host 10 bands on each day, the best music Gloucestershire has to offer with acts such as 'Jim Lockey and the Solemn Sun' and reggae outfit 'Mizizi'. This is combined with headline acts from across the country including 'The Jim Jones Revue', 'Dub Pistols', 'Concrete Disco', 'The Bleedin Noses' and many more.

There will be a large Performance Tent which will host acoustic music, poetry, comedy, children's acts. Delicious locally produced food and drink stalls, a bar with a wide selection of real ales and ciders, and a vibrant craft market. There will also be arts and crafts workshops and exhibitions from local community groups, arts organisations and clubs.

The entire 3 days will be packed with entertainment for children and adults, not just a bouncy castle (although we will have that too) but painting, sculptures, model boat making, wood-crafts, performance arts, costumes, theatre, audience interaction, puppet shows and much more. Genuinely interesting, educational and fun activities that both adults and children can engage in as well as the all the other attractions you might expect.

The Festival will run from 11 am until 11pm on each day (with extra entertainment such as acoustic music and a silent disco for weekend ticket holders until 2am). There is a beautiful camping field available for the Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Not only that, but the Hullabaloo festival will be affordable. An advance adult ticket for 1 whole day is only £17.50. The full 'festival experience' for the whole 3 days is only £50 and camping for 4 nights is only only £20. There are also 'daytime' and 'evening' only sessions for £10 on the gate. All these prices are halved for U18's and under 6's are admitted free.

Once inside, the vast majority of activities and entertainments will be free of charge and we carefully monitor the prices of food and drink, so you won't find any of the 'rip off' prices you sometimes find at other festivals! A pint of real ale or cider will cost £3, less than most pubs and even those activities that do have a charge have been kept to an absolute minimum, you can even bring picnics and soft drinks with you.

As well as providing both adults and children in Gloucestershire with high quality entertainment we also aim to support and promote local community groups, clubs and associations in the area with particular emphasis on (but not limited to) live music, arts and performance arts. We will also be raising money for 'Artshape' a Gloucestershire charity that provides access to the arts for people facing barriers to participation.
