iPad Giveaway at Beechwood

Students! Do you want a fantastic new iPad to kick-start the new term? Cheltenham’s Beechwood shopping centre has an iPad to give away plus a great selection of runner-up prizes in its Tresher Trail competition round the centre. Beechwood will be at the Freshers Fayre on Thursday, September 20 so pop along to the stand to find out more, or collect your Tresher Trail map from the centre management office and follow the clues to enter the competition, which starts on September 20th.

Whether you’re going back to school, college or university or attending for the first time, Beechwood has everything you need to get you started. From fashion to technology, music to homewares, stores such as Animal, Cargo, Debenhams, Game On, Next, Rise and Western Computer are jam packed with all you could need. Beechwood is also welcoming a new business this month. 7Camicie, selling Italian shirts, is looking to open in unit 2 at the front of the centre from September 10. With a fantastic range of exclusive designs tailored to fit, this is a unit you won’t want to miss.

It’s been a busy summer in Beechwood culminating in the final event in our Swap Shop campaign. Donated clothing from the public has been given to the Butterfly Garden to sell in its Flutterbuys shop and five beech trees and various plants have been planted at the garden in Bamfurlong Lane. Now, as the new school term heralds the transition to autumn, shops in Beechwood are gearing up for the season and next up will be Hallowe’en fun during half term. It is also the time when new, seasonal shops begin appearing and Beechwood has several new units opening their doors over the coming month as well as a fantastic free art exhibition on display throughout September.

Autumn also signals the start of shorter days and longer nights and Beechwood has been making moves to ensure it reduces its energy costs and increases efficiency before the dark nights draw in. Operations manager Richard Wright, who is overseeing the installations, said: “By going all led lighting we will reduce our carbon emissions by 12.286 carbon tons a year and the LED tubes will pay for themselves in just over two years. We have changed all the tubes above the shops on the front walkway to one long LED tube and also outside Debenhams on the ground floor as well as the ones in the service areas to motion sensor tubes so they are only on when someone is in the corridor. By doing all this we are becoming very green and environmentally focused which we are all very pleased to be part of.”

The centre offers easy parking in the town centre and its 400-space car park has a car valet service on level 2a. The sat nav postcode to enter to find our car park is GL52 2RG. All you need to do is leave your car with Car Valet UK and they’ll clean it while you shop; it’s as simple as that. The shopping centre’s normal opening times are 8:30am to 6pm Mondays to Saturdays and 8.30am to 5pm on Sundays.
