Stacey Budd rounds up Cheltenham hot night spots for New Year's Eve

Start your night in style, by kicking off your New Year’s Eve celebrations with a trip to Coco Lush. The little basement bar sits on Regent Street, just a few doors down from The Everyman theatre, and makes up in atmosphere what it lacks in size. Coco Lush serves a range of cocktails and shots, along with the usual beers, wines and spirits. Boasting an in-house DJ, playing a range of drum and bass and Dubstep, Coco Lush is a great place to start the night and get you in the mood to wave goodbye to 2012.

Just a short walk from Coco Lush, we come to Cheltenham’s most renowned cocktail venue, J’s Vodka Bar. J’s is set over three floors of a traditional Regency townhouse, and has made its mark on the rest of the UK by featuring in both FHM and Loaded magazines. J’s started up back in 2000 exclusively as a vodka bar, but now offers a full range of over 200 spirits. Whether you’re looking for an intimate rendezvous with friends, or for pre-venue cocktails and conversation, J’s Vodka Bar is the perfect place to begin your New Year’s festivities.

To really get the party started head over to 21 Club, for a night at Cheltenham’s most exclusive hotspot. The club offers an intimate atmosphere, spread across three rooms and a unique courtyard bar. The in-house DJ will ensure that the countdown to 2013 goes with a bang, and a wide selection of drinks will keep the celebration going well after the clock has struck 12. New Year’s Eve tickets are currently available, at £10 per person. Contact for more information.

For the best in Cheltenham’s underground club scene, head on over to The Prom Vaults. The club is a trendy venue on the corner of Cheltenham’s Promenade, and boasts a wide range of drinks along
with a chic and stylish atmosphere. The Vaults are open until 3am, with a DJ playing everything from the latest chart hits, party anthems and RnB classics. The Prom Vaults is the perfect place to end your
New Year’s Eve celebrations, and welcome 2013 in style.
