Get down to the Beechwood this Easter!

We find out what Easter treats are at the Beechwood...

Children of all ages are turning their attention to a special day on March 10, the day when mums everywhere should be pampered and spared the household chores. Mother’s Day is a time to say thank you and for those looking for a special gift, Beechwood shopping centre is the place to visit.

All kinds of treats can be found under one roof at stores such as
Debenhams, Candles & More, Silver Mine, Next, Thorntons and DestinationSkin. There’s a range of super gifts that will show mum how much she’s appreciated without breaking the bank. And if she’s a music fan independent record store Rise is sure to be a winner with its fascinating choice of music, books and DVDs.

And don’t forget, Easter is just round the corner so make sure your favourite chocolate treat is on order at Thorntons. Easter bunnies, personalised eggs, yummy fillings or plain and simple. There’s something for everyone.

Beechwood has added to the variety of its gorgeous shops with the arrival of a new vintage clothing store. WTF Vintage boutique will open in the unit next to Western Computer every weekend from March 9 and then from April 1 will open seven days a week for the whole month.

Opening times will be 9.30-5.30 on Saturdays and 10-4.30 Sundays and then 9.30-5.30 on weekdays. Owner Kate Siller said: “We will be selling ball gowns, jeans, cowboy boots, maxi dresses, and handbags in the shop... lots of modern and up to date vintage. I also re-work a lot myself, my latest item being vintage Barbours, which are stunning and we also stock sequin gowns, ball gowns, cocktail dresses, day dresses, the list is endless.”

Gold Buyers International has also opened on a temporary basis and will be in Beechwood for three months. Shoppers can bring in unwanted, broken or damaged gold, silver or platinum jewellery which will be tested on the spot and an offer made.

Centre manager Owen Acland said he was delighted businesses were choosing Beechwood to test the market and hoped that both newcomers would be in a position to remain in the centre on a permanent basis.

Regular visitors to Beechwood will know that its 400 space car park is convenient for accessing great shops. There’s a car valet service on level 2a and the sat nav postcode to enter to find our car park is GL52 2RG.

Beechwood’s normal opening times are 8:30am to 6pm Mondays to Saturdays and 8.30am to 5pm on Sundays. During the Easter holidays we will be open as normal on Good Friday, closed Easter Sunday and open 10.30am to 4.30pm on Easter Monday. Look out for our friendly, cuddly Beechwood Bear who will be out and about in the centre during the Easter holidays.
