What's happening at Beechwood

It’s been a wonderful summer in Beechwood Shopping Centre with a variety of free activities for children, the arrival of HMV, live gigs at independent record store Rise, a fantastic array of fashions, gifts and goodies and an exhibition by Cotswolds artist David Durston.

Following the success of ‘Abstracts to Animals’ in 2012 David has once again collaborated with Beechwood for his latest exhibition of paintings and prints entitled Generations. The exhibition runs until September 8 so there’s still time to catch it. It will be open Wednesdays to Sundays in the unit near Rise on the ground floor and includes examples of paintings and prints made since the 1980s.

Owen Acland, Beechwood’s centre manager, said: “The location attracted a large number of visitors last year so once again David is hoping that many will take the opportunity to review his latest work which exhibits a range from large 9ft by 5ft paintings to much smaller more affordable ‘Giclee’ prints.”

The children are back at school, a timely reminder that autumn is on its way, and Beechwood shops, such as Debenhams, Next, Evans, Animal, H & D and Love It are stocking their shelves with the latest autumn fashions. It is also the time when seasonal shops begin appearing and Beechwood will have new units opening their doors over the coming month.

As Cheltenham prepares for a new influx of students, Western Computer, near the centre circle in Beechwood, is stocked with everything Apple. What about an iPad or the latest Mac Book Air? It’s a must visit for school, college and university students with the hardware to help you learn, have fun and keep in touch. Check out the store’s Apple products from iPod Nano up to the biggest Macs. The Cheltenham store is also an authorised service centre.

Beechwood offers easy parking in the town centre with its 400-space car. The sat nav postcode to enter to find our car park is GL52 2RG.
